I agree with them, without high return on equity you don't want a stock as long term holding. But it is interesting that average return in equity in Japan is increasing and companies more often buy back stock. Are you looking into roe more, or are you still on the hard core value side? ;)

Always looked at ROE. But the real Roe, the hidden one. Still don't shy away from buying into low ROE if assets are of high Quality. And hold on to highvalue; high ROE stocks (Bandai).
